I am going to tell you the story of the day God created you.

One day God stopped all that he was doing and said “I am going to make me a _______ (insert name here)

He took the cells of your body and swirled them in the palm of his hand and thought about the color of your eyes, the color of your hair and smiled.  He thought about your favorite food, your favorite color and said, “This is good?”  

He said, “Angels, come here, check it out, I ‘m making me a _______ (insert name here).

They said, “Wow, God, you have never made anything like that before!

He smiled, and said, “Nope, this one is unique, not like anything I have ever made before”. He grins and proudly says, “I made me a _____!” (insert name here)

Then He says “_________ (insert name here), I love you! You matter so much to me!  Everything about you matters to me.  The things you like to do (Insert hobby here), the things that bring you joy and laughter, the things that bring you pain, even the things you worry about, it all matters to me.  You, _____ (insert name here), matter to me.”

“And it is my desire, as it is for all children, that when I put you on the earth, that you will have two parents who remind you every day how much you matter to me.  And, sometimes, parents don’t do their job too well.  Sometimes, they do, but often they don’t.  And then, the world comes along and says, “_______ (insert name here), you don’t look like this, and you don’t have that, and you don’t live here, and you aren’t like this, and you can’t do that, and you don’t know this, and you just aren’t quite right.” So, eventually it will get hard for you to hear my voice.  But, I want you to know that I am always right by your side.  I go before you in all that you do, and I go behind in all that you do.  I AM YOUR BIGGEST CHEERLEADER!  I am so excited about you and your life.  And, I have this army of angels right here to come to your aid any time you need, all you have to do is call on Me.”

“I will never abandon you, never! And, I will never be disappointed in you.  I may be disappointed in some things you say, and some things you do and some things you think about.  But, I will never be disappointed in who you ARE, because you are exactly the way I created you to be.  And I want you to know that when you get here I can’t wait to give you a great big hug when I see you again!  And I want you to remember that for the rest of your life!”
